Caravan SandWitch is the first open-world adventure, puzzle indie game from the developer Plane Toastwith only about 15 members.

The game was announced around May this year, through a few short trailers introducing the setting, gameplay and story that seemed “very potential”, along with beautiful graphics!

And now, the game is officially released, so Caravan SandWitch What can it bring to players?

Let's find out with MarkGame through the following review!

RELAXING, GENTLE AND EXCITING ENOUGH!

Sauge – the female protagonist of Caravan SandWitch – after receiving signals and messages from his sister who had gone missing about 6 years ago, he quickly decided to return to planet Cigalo, hoping to find his sister and understand the reason behind everything that was happening here.

The journey begins when she sets foot on land and meets her old relatives.

The good point in the game's storytelling style is the spread of stories, the quest lines are divided quite reasonably and the way the secrets are gradually revealed is also satisfactory, attractive enough for players to move forward to explore everything that is going on.

Caravan SandWitch There is no day-night system, but only a new day when the player decides to complete the main quest immediately.

The mini-stories are distributed through side quests, from characters with two types of side quests, timed and untimed. Overall, the quests are all trying to be varied, some quests are about picking up this or that item or others require using the pickup truck's tools to clear a path to get the required item.

Otherwise, players will be able to explore secrets in a world that is just large enough, with relatively diverse scenes and environments.

The most eye-catching point of Caravan SandWitch It is an attractive graphic “outfit”, expressing the aridity and mystery with the colors that are very well coordinated, the lighting effects are quite classy and the scenery is beautifully arranged, pleasing to the eye and neat, not confusing. Almost everywhere I go, the writer wants to take pictures as a souvenir.

The good point in the game's storytelling style is the spread of stories, the quest lines are divided quite reasonably and the way the secrets are gradually revealed is also satisfactory, attractive enough.

Because it aims to be as “chill” as possible, the game does not have any punishment or combat. All the player needs to do is accept missions, wander around and explore, collect materials to upgrade cars (which is also the main quest line) and solve puzzles.

The puzzles mostly involve unlocking electrical lines to open doors or activate platforms required for parking, or for Sarge to step on to get to new areas. They're not difficult and some puzzles require new tools to unlock so Caravan Sandwich Balance and limit new players from hanging around too long, pretty good!

The game also sometimes requires players to climb or jump over obstacles, but don't worry, because the game is “chill”, so if you accidentally fall from a high place to the ground, Sarge will still be intact, and there will be no “game over” screen. This also applies to the car that the player will control!

Overall, Caravan SandWitch Possessing a plot with just enough length, the stories are gradually opened through quite good missions but also enough to build the world of Cigalo with depth, at the same time with the presence of sympathetic stories from a cast of deep characters, along with extremely relaxing gameplay has brought an interesting experience!

IT'S A LITTLE PITY BECAUSE THE GAME COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER!

Actually, when it comes to the end of the “credits” (list of people who made the product) of Caravan SandWitchplayers feel really sorry because the game could have been better.

The game's quest lines are as mentioned: okay, with secrets that gradually become more interesting! However, after about 2/3 of the game, everything suddenly rushes and the final part of the story resolution is very simple, coupled with a very disappointing ending!

Even though the characters and world were well built, the rush made everything go to waste when Caravan SandWitch has a lot of potential that could be better. Maybe because the investment capital is not high, the game developer had to cut the game's duration to release it on time?

Caravan SandWitch

Although I know the game is “chill” but because it is “too easy” for players, Caravan SandWitch This makes things seem less “challenging” than what is happening in the world of Cigalo. The cutscenes are also done simply, which contributes to the game’s climaxes missing a “bright note” to complete their story.

In addition, although it is beautiful, the time the writer experienced the game was not really well optimized. Although the game did not crash, the game frame rate sometimes rose and sometimes fell even though the FSR method was chosen to “upscale” (from low resolution), but when entering areas with trees, Caravan SandWitch “drop” frame without brakes!

And to further limit the game, players are not allowed to adjust graphic parameters such as texture, light quality, shadows, etc. Players can only adjust according to available settings (preset).

The music and environment are not really outstanding or memorable, and obviously due to limited investment. Caravan SandWitch no voiceover either.

Even though the characters and world were well built, the rush made everything go to waste when Caravan SandWitch has a lot of potential to be better
