Sony has informed PlayStation Now subscribers of the three new titles coming to the streaming service this month. Players have their pick from a mashup between the greatest heroes in all of Toonami, a samurai adventure by Team Ninja, and a trip down gang-infested streets of old. All three games will hit the service immediately, adding to the large collection of PS4 and PS3 games already available for streaming on PlayStation 5 and PC.

Jump Force leads the trio for May simply due to its cast of playable characters. An arena fighting game featuring Goku, Naruto, Yusuke Urameshi, and so many more, players can run through a crossover story mode and fight their friends in versus play. The 2019 game has over 40 characters in total, but that breadth of the roster couldn’t save it from critics who were less than impressed with its anime action. Still, for current PS Now subscribers, the game may be worth a look between now and when the game leaves PS Now in August.

Nioh is a PlayStation console exclusive action franchise by the team behind Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive. PS Now subscribers can now play through the first game in the series on the service. First arriving in 2016, the game has since spawned a sequel and sold millions of units worldwide. Both games have also seen recent PS5 upgrades, although those enhancements don’t extend to the PlayStation Now version of the game.

Rounding out the month is Streets of Rage 4, the excellent retro revival from Sega, Dotemu, and the small development team at Guard Crush. Bringing back characters from across the franchise (sometimes in their original pixelated form), Street of Rage 4 is everything one could want out of a beat ’em up in 2021, and you don’t even need a stack of quarters to play. This game will leave the service as of November, so fans will want to get their runs in at some point in the coming months.
